Motorsnippets directory of over 170 museums situated in Great Britain, the Channel Islands and all of Ireland that have significant or interesting road transport collections.

You are encouraged to visit them, firstly on the web and then in person.

There is a wealth of different museums to choose from. Included here are museums of cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, racing cars, military vehicles, horsedrawn carriages and bicycles. They stretch from Cornwall to Scotland and Kent to Killarney. They vary in size from small, family run collections to the large nationals.

All have one thing in common - an enthusiasm for the subject.

Weird cars gather at Beaulieu






New exhibition for the 2005 season.

The National Motor Museum’s latest special exhibition was inspired by Stephen Vokins’ very successful book for Haynes under the title “Weird Cars”. It is a collection of innovative and eccentric three and four wheeled vehicles; some went into production others got no further than car number 1.

The exhibition was opened by Andy Saunders well known for his one off creations. He has two cars in the exhibition. In his opening speech he compared the weird cars from America as being large and o ....to see the rest click here!
