This was the show that just had to happen. As with all the best events, it did seem to the observer just "To Happen". However, an incredible amount of hard work goes into producing a successful show of this type. In this case the success achieved makes every ounce of effort worthwhile. I am perhaps not the ideal person to cover this show since my duties kept me at my post for much of the weekend. However, here is my "Snapshot" view of things going on.

The Racing Car Show is now a truly International exhibition at which every aspect of the sport is represented in an area of over one million square feet The UK motor industry may have fallen into decline but there is a very lively business in supplying the booming competition car market with over 450 specialist engineering companies exhibiting to emphasise this growth.
CAPESTHORNE CLASSIC CAR SHOW - WILMSLOW - August 24th 2003

Taking a break over the Bank Holiday week-end between the hillclimb at Harewood and the Gold Cup at Oulton Park your reporter was surprised to come across a Classic Car Show. Having stumbled into this two day meet at Capesthorne Hall near Wilmslow in Cheshire it seemed a good local meeting on which to report. It is an attractive setting and deserving of our attention.

Taking expensive motor cars to where the money is seems a good idea. Canary Wharf is easily accessible and is also an interesting venue. Cars were on display inside the tower and in the surrounding courtyard and park. Motorsnippets selected a range of vehicles from those on display.
