It was going to be called Ferrarina 1000
Designed by Giugiaro while he worked for Bertone, ASA 1000 Berlinetta was first presented at the 1961 Turin Motor Show. It wasn't featured under the Ferrari name even though the design was commissioned by Enzo Ferrari and the car was meant to be called "Ferrari Mille". Enzo's wish to produce a small car was not realised in the end, but the design went to ASA (Autocostruzioni Societa per Azioni), a company owned by De Nova - electro chemical conglomerate. |
