Other car of interest in this section were the special Touring bodied Villa d'Est 2500

A 1300 Guilietta Sprint

1966 Pininfarina bodied Duetto as immortalised in "The Graduate" with Dustin Hoffman belting down the Californian freeway to the strains of Simon & Garfunkel.

A 1954 1900 Super Sprint (4 cylinder) Touring bodied car was on display, these are quite rare but very typical of that era.

Close by was the 1570cc 4 cyl. 1963 Sprint Speciale. There were quite a lot of these in the U.K. during the 70's but they invariably suffered from galloping rot and practically disintegrated as one watched.

Another rare bird on display was the 1967 V8 "Stradale" with Scaglione bodywork. I had only seen one of these previously, it was in the small motor museum at Banham in Norfolk and was auctioned off when the museum was disposed of in the late 70's

A 1975 Tipo 33 TT12 was next in line, with the 12 cyl 2995cc engine in situ. These were very successful in sports racing events, very agile cars with the engines giving reliable power that somehow never seemed to translate to the Grand Prix use that they were also put.

The 1996 Nuvola project car on display failed to fire me up, it looked like at least a dozen other cars and had no memorable features that I can fasten upon to make it unique or irresistibly desirable. Having said that, it is purely my personal taste and I may well be inundated by readers defending it's virtues.

The last exhibit was the 156 Super Turisimo of 1998cc capacity. Nice road car this, I borrowed one from the local dealer when they were launched and was very impressed by the combination of sure footed roadholding, tor que and smooth power.
