Prost Formula One Cars in Paris Auction
 

After months of controversy and legal arguments French auction House Poulain Le Fur is to offer for sale assets of the troubled Prost Formula One Team. Prost team went into liquidation in January this year, with debts mounting over £20m. On the 6th May 12 single-seaters will appear in this Paris sale, along with other pre and post-war classics, some of them in 'ready to race' condition.

Complete single-seaters (with their engines)

- 2000 F1 PROST-PEUGEOT AP 03 #5, (season 2000), " team Gallic Prost Peugeot ", manufactured 17/04/2000, driving V10 Peugeot #20 463, fitted with standard A 20 engine, sold as Lot 9.
AP 03 #5 was raced once by Heidfeld and three times by Alesi.
The car was checked in the Prost factory and is fitted with the last of the Peugeot F1 engines - the A 20. It is ready to race (ignition box only missing).

- Formula 1 PROST-PEUGEOT AP 02 (season 1999), Frame # 7, manufactured 01/06/1999, driving Peugeot # 1833, standard A 18, sold as Lot 6.
The chassis #7 has been used by Jarno Trulli for 10 races. He started driving this car at the French Grand Prix and his best result was a second place at the European GP in Nurburgring.
AP 02 #7 is ready to race with its complete Peugeot A18 engine (without the data box). Estimate: Eur 50.000-75.000

Formula 1 PROST-PEUGEOT AP 01 (season 1998), Frame # 6, manufactured 12/05/1998, driving V10 Peugeot #16 229, standard A 16, sold as Lot 4. Chassis AP 01 #6 has been used by Olivier Panis during five races in 1998. This F1 car is 100% complete and ready to race. Estimate: Eur 50.000-75.000

Lot 10 - 2000 F1 PROST- PEUGEOT AP 03 #4
AP 03 #4 was driven by Heidfeld during 3 races in the 2000 season.
This car is sold with the transmission system but without the engine.

Lot 8 - 2000 F1 PROST-PEUGEOT AP 03 #3
AP 03 #3 was driven in 11 races during the 2000 season by Jean Alesi, of which he completed three.
This car is sold with the transmission system but without the engine. It is painted as an AP 04.

Lot 7 - 1999 F1 PROST-PEUGEOT AP 02 #3
AP 02 #3 was driven by Panis during six races in the 1999 season. Best result was the 6th place and 1 point in the Brasilian GP.
This car is sold with the transmission system but without the engine. It is painted like an AP 03 and has sponsors stickers like an AP 04 from 2001. Estimate: Eur 25.000-40.000

Lot 5 - 1999 F1 PROST-PEUGEOT AP 02 #1
AP 02 #1 brought little luck to Jarno Trulli in the first three races of the 1999 season. He failed to complete any of the three and this chassis was superseded by #5, #6 and #7 later in the season.
AP 02 #1 has no engine but has its transmission. It is painted like an AP 03 and has sponsors stickers like an AP 04 from 2001.

Lot 1 - 1996 F1 LIGIER-HONDA JS 43 #5
JS 43 #5 was driven in 12 Grand Prix races in 1996 season by Pedro Diniz. Best results - 6th place in Spain and in Italy.
The car does not have an engine but has its original gearbox.

Lot 2 - 1997 F1 PROST-MUGEN-HONDA JS 45 #2
This JS 45 #2 has been driven in all 17 races of the 1997 season by Shinji Nakano, who finished twice at the 6th place - in Canada and in Hungary.
The car does not have an engine but has its original gearbox.

Lot 3 - 1997 F1 PROST-MUGEN-HONDA
JS 45 #3 was driven by Olivier Panis in 8 races and Trulli in 6 races of the 1997 season. Best results were third place in Brasil and 4th in Monaco for Panis and 4th place in Germany for Trulli.
This car is sold without the engine but still has its original transmission. Pedals are also missing. It is painted like an AP 01 from 1998. Estimate: Eur 25.000-45.000

Lot 11 - 2001 F1 PROST-ACER AP 04 #2
AP 04 #2 was powered by a 10 cylinder Ferrari engine and was driven by Mazzacane and Enge in three races of the 2001 season.
Ferrari engine and transmission are missing and are replaced by a tabular frame. Estimate: Eur 25.000-40.000

Lot 12 - 2001 F1 PROST-ACER AP 04 #6
AP 04 #6 was driven during eight races by Jean Alesi and five by Frentzen. Best results were 5th place in Canada and 6th in Monaco, both by Alesi. The Ferrari engine and transmission are missing and are replaced by a tabular frame. Estimate: Eur 23.000-38.000

Auction location is Palais Des Congres in Paris and viewing times 4-6 May, between 11am and 6pm.

Later this month - between 15th and 17th May Poulain Le Fur will continue with sale of the various Prost F1 Team assets - production tools and machines, specialised transport vehicles, computers and design equipment, on-track equipment, meteorological laboratory...
